Ongoing Projects

My current research projects combine field-based ecology, comparative neurobiology, and functional biology to investigate how arthropods interact with and adapt to their environments across different developmental stages. They range from analysing the effects of low-intensity grazing on arthropod diversity in conservation landscapes, to exploring the molecular basis of chemosensory perception in spiders, and to studying adhesive biomaterials in Drosophila that are essential for larval survival and successful metamorphosis. Together, these projects reflect my long-standing interest in how developmental processes and physiological adaptations respond to environmental change, linking molecular, organismal, and ecological perspectives.
